The PAN Forum is a biennial*, three-day conference held in Washington, D.C., bringing together Parkinson’s advocates from across the nation. Attendees gather to learn the latest in public policy and research in Parkinson’s disease. Working together, Forum attendees increase awareness of Parkinson’s and learn to advocate for better treatments and a cure.
The PAN Forum features panel discussions about policy issues and research impacting the Parkinson’s community; keynote addresses from leading researchers, scientists, clinicians, and/or Members of Congress; training for volunteer advocates to advance their advocacy work on Capitol Hill and at home in their states and localities; and opportunities to learn and share with other Parkinson’s advocates from around the country. *On alternating, even-numbered years, PAN hosts a Leadership Forum. The Leadership Forum is an event held to educate and empower PAN’s grassroots leaders. These leaders, who serve as Assistant State Directors, District Delegates, and State Directors in their states, are volunteer advocates who have taken on leadership roles in their communities. Throughout the year, they work to educate the public about Parkinson’s disease and the important policy issues that impact those living with the disease.
