President Obama Releases Fiscal Year 2014 Budget
On April 10, President Obama sent his Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 budget to Congress.  While not binding, the President's Budget sets the policy priorities of the Administration for the next year, and the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) is thrilled to see medical research, and specifically neurological research, is a priority.  To read more, click here.

$100 Million BRAIN Initiative Will Increase Collaboration, Accelerate Treatments
On Tuesday, April 2, PAN CEO Amy Comstock Rick, along with other leaders in the Parkinson's disease and neurological community, attended a White House event where President Obama announced a bold new research initiative, the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative.

Honor a Loved One for Parkinson's Awareness Month!
Did you know that April is Parkinson's Awareness Month?  In honor of this special occasion, the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) is excited to present an online Tulip Tribute Garden, where you can plant a virtual tulip to celebrate, honor, or remember your loved ones who have been touched by Parkinson's disease.  If you donate $25 or more, you can post the name of someone you would like to honor on the PAN website with a brief personal message.  Click here to plant a tulip today!
