Learn More About Parkinson's Advocacy at the PAN Forum
"At the PAN Forum, you see the big picture and the community you are part of. You hear presentations from speakers you would never normally hear from or have access to. And maybe most importantly to people who are new to advocacy, PAN takes all the 'scary' out of meeting with legislators. All we have to do is show up and tell our story – talk about easy! And, it's so moving. You will connect personally and build relationships with others in the Parkinson's community. You will hear success stories about what worked and what didn't in raising awareness, meetings on the Hill, or phone calls to Members of Congress. Most of all -- you will be changed forever."
-- Robin Katsaros, PAN California Assistant State Director
The 2013 PAN Forum is just over two months away and, if you haven’t registered yet, we hope you’ll do so soon ! We’ve planned a well-rounded, informative speaker and panel discussion line-up that both new and seasoned advocates will learn from and enjoy.
Every other year, the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) hosts the PAN Forum, a three-day conference in Washington, D.C., bringing together the Parkinson’s community from across the nation – people with Parkinson’s and their family members and friends, caregivers, Parkinson’s disease researchers, doctors, and others.
Here’s a little taste of what’s in store for PAN Forum attendees in 2013:
A limited number of scholarships are still available for those who need help with travel and registration expenses. If you can’t attend, but know someone who would be interested, please feel free to forward this email to them!
