The 2011 PAN  Research & Public Policy Forum
The PAN Forum is the link between Parkinson’s advocates and federal government, bringing them together to secure research funding and better policies to support our community. Working together, both Webcast and Washington, DC participants increase awareness of Parkinson’s and learn ways to advocate for better treatments and a cure.  A portion of the 2011 Forum was webcast live to viewers across the country, and is available to watch online here.  During this webcast, PAN CEO Amy Comstock Rick welcomes attendees, followed by a panel discussion called “How Government Affects Parkinson’s Disease.”  Senator Mark Udall (D-CO) delivers the keynote, and the webcast ends with a panel discussion called “How Advocacy Moves Government.”

Emerging Therapies: From Microscope to Marketplace
On June 24, 2010, leading experts in the field of research joined the Parkinson’s Action Network at Georgetown University for a panel discussion on the drug development pipeline.  This insightful discussion provided participants with a better understanding of how research is moved through the pipeline and ultimately into the hands of patients in the form of new therapies and drugs.
