Thank You for Making the 2013 Udall Awards Dinner a Success!
The Parkinson’s Action Network thanks the more than 270 guests and supporters who celebrated the Parkinson’s community Tuesday evening at the 2013 Morris K. Udall Awards Dinner. The generous support of this annual event brings in about 20 percent of the funding PAN needs to continue our work throughout the year.
Highlighting the evening was NPR’s Diane Rehm, co-chair of the dinner, who sat down with renowned author and philanthropist, Oliver Sacks, M.D. Watch the interview:
PAN CEO Amy Comstock Rick spoke about the importance of PAN’s work in the Parkinson’s community. Watch the video:
During the evening, PAN gave out three awards to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Parkinson’s community. Recipients were:
- Monnie Lindsay, J.D., Nebraska State Director
Milly Kondracke Award for Outstanding Advocacy

We are also pleased to announce that the generous supporters of PAN were able to raise $30,000 for the PAN Forum Scholarship Fund so that grassroots leaders from across the country can attend the PAN Leadership Forum in February. The Leadership Forum is a three-day conference in Washington, DC during which 100 grassroots leaders gather to learn the latest in public policy and research in Parkinson’s disease. Thanks to their contributions, we are on our way to our goal for the Fund of $150,000. To help this effort, click here.
PAN also thanks all of our sponsors who made this night a success.
