One Mind Summit
PAN CEO Amy Comstock Rick attended the 3rd Annual One Mind Summit May 13 – 15 in Arlington, Virginia. One Mind is an independent, non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to curing the diseases of the brain and eliminating the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness and brain injuries. Partners in Parkinson’s
PAN is proud to serve as a national participating partner for the Partners in Parkinson’s events, which kicked off on May 18 in New York City. About 500 people attended the event and nearly 100 people took action at the PAN table and asked their Members of Congress to support telehealth legislation. Partners in Parkinson's aims to help patients and caregivers gain knowledge and support for navigating a Parkinson's diagnosis and progression in order to optimize care at every stage of the disease. The event includes sessions, breakout discussions, and a resource fair. The next event will take place in Cleveland on May 31. Learn more.
American Telemedicine Association Conference
Jennifer Sheridan, director of policy at PAN, spoke at the 2014 American Telemedicine Association conference, Connected to Care, on May 20 in Baltimore, Maryland. Jennifer highlighted the importance of grassroots advocates in bringing about policy change in a session titled, “From the Bottom Up: How Educating Patients Can Bring Legislative and Regulatory Reform.” Learn more.
Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Advisory Group Spring Meeting
