PAN Saddened by the Death of Bette Lee Levenson
PAN is saddened by the passing of Bette Lee Levenson of Chevy Chase, MD on Monday, August 2, 2010. For those of you who did not have the opportunity to know Bette, she was a dedicated supporter of PAN for many years. Her husband, Buddy, died of Parkinson’s in May 2000 and Bette kept up a strong fight against the disease. The Levenson family, in honor of Buddy, sponsored a dinner each year to raise money for Parkinson’s, which eventually merged with the Morris K. Udall Awards Dinner. Bette’s daughter, Wendy Rosenblatt, also served on the PAN Board of Directors. We are honored that the Levenson family has designated PAN as a recipient for gifts in her memory.
The loss of Bette is a loss for the entire Parkinson's disease community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Levenson family during this difficult time.
