PAN Mourns the Loss of Colleen Wuebben, Former Congressional Coordinator and Longtime Parkinson’s Advocate

Colleen Wuebben with PAN Grassroots Advisory Board member, Monnie Lindsay

Parkinson’s advocate Colleen Wuebben passed away at her home in Omaha, Nebraska on February 13 with her family by her side.  Colleen was a Congressional Coordinator with PAN from 2007-2011 and participated in the PAN Forum in 2008, 2009, and 2010.

“Colleen had both vision and passion and her skill in communicating her journey with Parkinson’s inspired many,” said Monnie Lindsay, a member of PAN’s Grassroots Advisory Board and a friend of Colleen’s.  “Her legacy is her gift to the Parkinson’s community in Omaha -- the PHD (for Parkinson’s Health Development) program.  PHD was born at a PAN Forum a few years ago, offers exercise classes for people with Parkinson’s, and is going strong.  I will miss her sense of humor and her ability to make everyone around her feel special.”
