New Initiative Aims to Increase Diversity in Clinical Trials
Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and the National Minority Quality Forum have jointly launched I’m In, a new campaign to increase diversity in clinical trials.
The campaign is specifically targeting African Americans, Asian Americans, and Hispanics to encourage more patients within those communities to participate in clinical trials. It will also focus on connecting more physician investigators within those ethnic and racial populations with patients, and encourage networking between hospitals that serve minority populations.

Clinical trials are very important to all disease populations, including the Parkinson’s disease community. To learn more about clinical trials for Parkinson’s patients, visit Fox Trial Finder at foxtrialfinder.michaeljfox.org.
