The Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) recently received a letter from Dr. Sethu Reddy, Vice President of U.S. Medical Affairs for Merck & Co., Inc., the maker of Sinemet, announcing they had successfully worked with the Food and Drug Administration to obtain approval of the new supply sources of Sinemet to avoid shortages and supply issues.  To keep the Parkinson's community fully informed of this issue, PAN has included information on the new-look Sinemet and Sinemet CR pills, along with more detailed information about the medication, all sent by Merck.  If you have any questions regarding your personal medical care after reading this information, please speak with your physician or pharmacist.
