Ask Congress to Repeal Medicare Therapy Caps Before March 31!
Action Needed to Repeal Medicare Therapy Caps!
In December, Congress passed a three-month extension of the Medicare therapy caps exceptions process to allow for more time to reach a compromise on Medicare payment reform. However, the three months is almost over, and the most recent proposal does not include a permanent repeal of the Medicare therapy caps. Final legislation that includes a permanent fix of the Medicare therapy is the only way to ensure people with Parkinson’s have access to medically necessary therapy services – another short-term extension of the exceptions process would add even greater uncertainty for patients and providers.
Please contact your Members of Congress today and tell them that people with Parkinson’s and other chronic conditions should never have to worry whether or not Medicare will cover their medically necessary physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy services. For so many, therapy services provide some of the only treatments to improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Click here to send a message to your Members of Congress!
