  • Senate Emergency Supplemental Bill
    5/14/2008 - PAN is pleased that there are two Parkinson’s-related funding provisions in the Senate emergency supplemental appropriations bill, which aims to provide funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for the remainder of FY 2008.  

  • PAN Supports Medicare Access to Assistive Technology Act
    5/5/2008 - The Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN) supports the passage of S. 2931, the Medicare Access to Complex Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Act of 2008.  S. 2931, introduced by Parkinson’s Caucus Co-Chair Debbie Stabenow, will ensure that individuals living with Parkinson’s and other diseases will have access to necessary medical equipment through Medicare. 

  • Genetic Information Bill Sent to the President!
    5/1/2008 - PAN applauds Congress for sending the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) to the President to be signed into law.  
  • PAN Lauds FDA's Call for $275 Million
    5/14/2008 - The Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN), today, lauded the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner, Andrew von Eschenbach, and his request for an immediate infusion of $275 million of funding for the FDA. Commissioner von Eschenbach’s request comes as a part of the emergency supplemental funding bill being considered in the House and Senate.
