Forum Scholarship Fund
The PAN Forum is a three-day program bringing together individuals with Parkinson’s disease, their family members and caretakers, researchers, and other Parkinson’s disease advocates from around the country.
During the Forum, attendees share information, learn about the latest legislative issues related to Parkinson’s disease, and meet with their members of Congress, educating them about Parkinson’s disease and the need for better treatments and a cure. Advocates return to their own communities better prepared to advocate for Parkinson’s and raise awareness for the disease.
The 2014 Leadership Forum is critical to assuring that PAN’s mission is heard around the country, and scholarships are provided to the over 100 grassroots leaders who will come to D.C. to participate in this essential job training and development. Our grassroots leaders are volunteers who perform a vital job for the Parkinson’s community.
Each scholarship totals approximately $1,500 to cover the travel, hotel, and registration for our grassroots leaders who would otherwise not be able to afford the expense to travel to DC and attend the Forum.
In all, $150,000 is needed to make it possible for these committed advocates to participate in learning, training, and sharing that greatly furthers their work and PAN’s vital mission.
Your donation will help make this possible. Thank you for your support.
