Now is the time for a full court press on the White House to urge President Bush to sign the stem cell bill on his desk into law! We are all watching and waiting to see if he will sign the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act (S. 5) into law or veto it for the second time. The bill went to the White House last week, and we are hearing that he may not act on this bill until next week.
We need those calls made to the White House now more than ever! Please pick up the phone and call today. Urge President Bush to sign the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act into law.

A Little Humor on a Serious and Complex Issue: Stem Cell Video "Short" Hollywood producer/director Jerry Zucker ("Airplane!", "Naked Gun", "My Best Friend's Wedding") produced a stem cell "short" aimed at President Bush's veto threats of the bipartisan Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act overwhelmingly passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on June 7. Zucker's "short" was released via YouTube and directly addresses the question of what to do with the thousands of fertilized eggs that are discarded every year at fertility clinics.

Stem Cells, You and YouTube And, a reminder that if you want your voice to be heard, you, too, can record a video message to President Bush, asking him not to veto the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act. No need to hire actors or write a script -- just use your own video camera and speak from the heart. You can upload it to YouTube by following the simple instructions at: http://www.google.com/support/youtube/.
Thank you for everything you are doing to put pressure on the White House for the President to sign the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act!
