Parkinson's Action Network Announces New Board Members
The Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) announced the addition of two new members to serve on PAN's board of directors, as grassroots representatives: Mary Helen "Monnie" Lindsay, of Nebraska, and Peggy Willocks of Tennesee.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Monnie Lindsay and Peggy Willocks to serve on PAN’s board of directors,” said Anne Udall, Board Chair of PAN. “The addition of Monnie and Peggy will give our board an added voice from the Parkinson’s community on a grassroots level.”

Lindsay and Willocks currently serve as state coordinators for PAN in their home states of Nebraska and Tennessee.

Lindsay was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease1994 and became the Nebraska state coordinator in 2005. She currently serves on the board of the local chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA). Lindsay also is a member of the Parkinson’s Disease Working Group of the Collaborative on Health and the Environment and co-authored the Parkinson’s community’s suggested new definition of Parkinson’s disease for the Department of Health and Human Services. She is an attorney. 

Willocks, PAN state coordinator for Tennessee since 2002 and diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1994, has been a leader of local support group for nine years. She initiated a young onset support group with emphasis on the newly diagnosed. Willocks also volunteers for APDA and the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF). Willocks held a career in Public Relations and Education. 

"I am confident that Monnie's and Peggy's service to the Parkinson's community will be an asset in decisions made about the direction of the PAN agenda," said Amy L. Comstock, CEO, PAN.  "These two women exemplify leadership and dedication and I look forward to a continued and growing relationship." 

With the addition of Lindsay and Willocks, PAN has a board of 16 members.
