PAN is pleased to make available a brochure to help you navigate the 2008 Medicare Prescription Drug Open Enrollment period that will end on December 31, 2007. Open Enrollment is the one time each year that all people with Medicare can join or change their Medicare drug plan. Many plans are making changes to benefits and costs, and there are also new plans in many areas of the country. During this busy holiday season, PAN encourages all people using Medicare to examine their prescription drug needs and make sure that their plans will provide the best coverage at the lowest cost in 2008.
Medicare Access for Patients-Rx (MAPRx), in conjunction with PAN, the Alzheimer’s Association, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and many other reputable organizations, has created a brochure that provides answers to key questions concerning Open Enrollment. MAPRx is a coalition of patient, family caregiver, and medical professional organizations committed to ensuring that people with chronic diseases and disabilities have the access to the medications and therapies they need and deserve under the Medicare prescription drug program. The MAPRx brochure will help people with Medicare coverage find the resources they need to make the best decisions about their prescription drug plans.
Please remember that most Medicare prescription drug plans are changing in 2008 – decisions to join a Medicare prescription drug plan or choose a new plan must be made before the end of this month.
