    8/6/2008 - August is the perfect opportunity to meet with your Senators and Representative while they are home for August recess!  Members of Congress want to hear from their constituents—so now is the time to talk to them about PD and the issues important to the Parkinson’s disease community.  

  • Call Your Representative about Defense PD Research Program!
    7/29/2008 - Your action is needed to help ensure the NETRP program is adequately funded in the Defense Appropriations bill.  The House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee is expected to meet this Wednesday, July 30!

  • Ask Congress to Support NIH Funding!
    7/21/2008 - You can help secure additional funding for NIH again this week! Senators Tom Harkin and Arlen Specter introduced S. 3272, the NIH Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2008, to provide the NIH with an additional $5.2 billion of research funding for FY 2008.
  • PAN CEO Testifies Before Democratic Platform Committee
    8/1/2008 - Amy Comstock Rick, the president of the Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research (CAMR) and Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) CEO, today urged the Democratic Platform Committee to consider strong and supportive language that reverses the limitations on the field of human embryonic stem cell research.
