Morris K. Udall Parkinson’s Disease Research Act Amendments of 2005

On July 28, 2005, Congressman Lane Evans, with the support of the other Co-Chair of the Congressional Working Group on Parkinson’s Disease, introduced a bill to amend the Morris K. Udall Parkinson’s Research Act of 1997. The bill called the Udall Act Amendments, (H.R. 3550) works to strengthen the overall coordination and planning of Parkinson’s research funds at NIH and strengthen the Udall Centers program. In addition, the bill requires Federal agencies to address the lack of information we have about who has Parkinson’s disease and why.
