How Have Changes in Medicare Affected You?

Important changes are taking place to the Medicare program. Important changes are taking place to the Medicare program, starting November 15, 2005, and continuing through 2006. On January 1, 2006, Medicare coverage will begin for people who have joined by December 31, 2005. May 15, 2006 is the last day to join a plan offering coverage for 2006, and the next opportunity to enroll will be November 15 through December 31, 2006. If you have questions about your coverage, call Medicare: 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227); TTY: 1-877-486-2048. They are available to answer your questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
